The singer was previously known to have been living in dire conditions but was later reached out by Roy

The Apney Ulloo singer since reached out to help his long-time collaborator and friend, taking the matter up with the government of Balochistan

"Wasu and I met the CM today and Wasu informed him that he has sold the land, I had bought for him and requested CM to give him a house

Jam Kamal Khan assured me that he will do his best to help him

We also discussed education reforms in Balochistan," Roy revealed in a tweet in 2020

Additionally, Roy revealed that he had been in constant touch with Khan for the past decade with the exception of the period in which the former's family contracted coronavirus

“He did not call me, he said he didn't want to trouble me more and wanted help from the government

So, I have come to Quetta to meet him
