We are currently working with a reputable, family-run SME who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their existing team, The company head office is based in Stamford, however this is a national role covering the UK. Our client offers a range of equipment within the forestry, tree surgery and garden maintenance industry.Your role as a BDM is to identify, develop, build, manage amp; deliver business development sales targets via management of relationships with new amp; existing clients, generation of new sales leads, amp; maintaining relationships with new contacts. You will also develop, implement sales activities, initiatives to drive revenues amp; profit within the guidelines set. This is a national role, that will require travel across the UK so you must be willing to travel.Key duties and responsibilities.Identify and pursue sales opportunities through the sales cycleDrive new business development to achieve the company objectivesIdentifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and servicesCreating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunitiesBuilding relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals Maintaining and developing relationships with current clientsPitching sales and products to new and existing clientsCreating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching themPossessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the industry and positioningComplete tenders as and when requiredRepresent the company at customers, shows and other external events
