The CDC Foundation seeks an Associate Director of Emergency Response, Workforce within the Response and Crisis Preparedness Unit (RCPU). The Associate Director of Workforce will report to the Associate Vice President for Emergency Response, may lead up to ten direct reports, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of a variety of projects in a number of jurisdictions.Position Title: Associate Director of Emergency Response, Workforce Location: RemoteSalary: $120,000Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Public Health or bachelor’s degree in a related field with 7-10 of experienceExperience equivalent to that of a national, state, or local public health official with 4-6 years of professional serviceDemonstrated increasing levels of responsibility and leadership in program managementProven experience managing employees, and a minimum of four years of supervisory experienceProven experience building and leading a team with multi-level management. Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor individuals from diverse cultural backgroundsProficiency managing a complex portfolio of public-private partnerships (or the functional equivalent collaborations) projects with particular emphasis on maximizing impact of the workExperience working in a programmatic leadership role building and maintaining relationships with high-impact, high-level stakeholders such as donors, senior-level government officials, or subject matter experts in domestic and international contextsExperience working collaboratively in strategic partnerships, demonstrating, prioritizing customer service, and servant leadership with diverse stakeholdersAbility to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a complex environment while balancing competing prioritiesDemonstrated ability to work well independently and supervising a teamSuperior judgment and decision making, with excellent analytical skills; business intuition acumenAbility to work on weekends, after hours, to travel internationally and domestically as requiredExperience in program evaluation, including logic model development.Strong technical skills including word processing, spreadsheet development and management, and database management, with a particular emphasis on proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with enterprise resource planning systems and software packages used to manage day-to-day business activities such as budgetary management and program and project management preferredA strong, comprehensive skill set of written and verbal communication, active listening acumen
