Come work with a tight-knit group focused on improving the quality of patients’ lives.The CRNA is the primary provider of anesthesia care, working in collaboration with the surgeons to deliver anesthesia and sedation for surgical procedures. In addition, they must ensure pre-anesthetic and post-anesthetic evaluations are complete and any abnormalities are reported to the surgeon. The CRNA is also responsible for maintaining a safe environment with appropriate equipment and medication to ensure the highest quality and delivery of patient care. To provide the highest level of patient care, the CRNA is responsible for the following:Perform the pre-anesthesia evaluation.Order appropriate pre-anesthetic medications.Plan the anesthetic management, including the selection of the anesthetic agent and techniques including, but not limited to: conscience sedation, eye block, topical eye block.Document discussion of the anesthesia plan and risks with the patientsMaintain anesthesia at the required levels throughout the procedure.Ensure all emergency equipment is in proper working orderUtilize appropriate monitoring equipment, including the placement of the sensory devices.Recognize and take corrective action for abnormal patient responses to the anesthetic agents or anyadjunctive medication or another form of therapy.Administer anesthesia for any surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures performed.Provide professional observations and resuscitative care until the patient has regained control of their vital functions, including the ordering of medications necessary in the recovery period.Perform the post-anesthetic evaluation and consult with the surgeon concerning any abnormal conditions discovered during the pre-anesthetic evaluation, and any abnormal patient conditions arising during the anesthetic or during the recovery period.
