JOB DESCRIPTION JANUARY 2023Operations and Building Associate Full-TimeWe are seeking a Spirit-filled, dynamic, and skilled individual who desires to add their gifts to our Operations team. This person must be a self-starter with a passion to see Garden Church operate, organize, and flourish through the lens of Heaven. We believe that the role of any individual on our staff team is to steward the favor and resources that we’ve been entrusted with as a church - and this especially pertains to our Operations team. Our aim is not to merely manage the resources of Garden Church, but to steward them by first offering them up with thanksgiving, then responding to His leading with wisdom, discernment, and radical generosity. Operations is about so much more than policies and procedures - it’s about building up the church, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, through the perspective of Heaven. Our Operations and Building Associate will work closely with the Pastor of Operations to steward Garden Church’s finances, day-to-day operations, and our new building in Sunset Beach. RESPONSIBILITIESOperationsTrack and deposit weekly donations (deposit to bank in Long Beach)Collect and count tithe on Sunday morningsManage and administrate various aspects of Planning Center Online (Giving, People, Calendar)Process all employees’ weekly reimbursementsProcess and pay all invoices and billsSend and receive all incoming mail from PO Box in Long BeachProcess and track background checks for volunteers and staffManage all files (employee files, accountants payable, liability forms and background checks, etc)Manage and track petty cash balancesProcess and manage liability insurance certificates for our various facilitiesAct as point of contact with Garden Church’s CPAHandle all administrative tasks for the Benevolence team: tracking Benevolence funds, collecting necessary W-9s and other documents, and handwriting checks for Benevolence fund recipients
