We source fresh, quality and in date food, that is surplus to requirements from manufacturers and retailers. This is then redistributed to charities and community groups that provide meals to vulnerable people, individuals who are homeless, unemployed, socially isolated or recovering from addictions. FareShare comprises 36 Regional Centre Warehouses around the UK to redistribute large volume surplus food as well as a store-level solution, called FareShare Go. Last year (2021/22) we provided 53,894 tonnes of food, the majority of which would have otherwise been wasted, to 9,500 charity and community groups nationwide. In terms of food supporting vulnerable communities, the combined number of meals created was 128 million - enough to provide 350,000 meals per day for a whole year. The role sits in the Supporter Experience team in Fundraising Operations.The postholder will work across the Fundraising team and closely with our Marketing amp; Communications department to deliver the key messages, content and activity to enable us to acquire, engage and retain supporters. Main area of responsibilityContent and asset creation that conveys the impact and breadth of FareShare’s work and supports the charity’s fundraising strategy. This will involve working closely with our Marketing department, external agencies, and other internal and external stakeholders to manage and ensure the delivery of print and digital communications requests from all teams across the Fundraising department, including Corporate Fundraising, Trusts and Foundations, Individual Giving, Major Donors and Mass Participation.ResponsibilitiesContributing to the Fundraising Department’s supporter engagement activities by:Supporting the production of powerful and engaging case studies to demonstrate FareShare’s impact, coordinating the needs of the Fundraising team.Ensuring appropriate recognition and acknowledgement of funder support is delivered through innovative means, in collaboration with Fundraising account managers.In collaboration with Fundraising colleagues, develop impactful content for use in a range of fundraising presentations, proposals and meetings.Producing impact reports for fundraising audiences.Managing a calendar of fundraising activities.
