With licenses in 11 jurisdictions spanning 40+ countries and links to the local ACHs of the world's largest economies, our modular platform for Pay In, Pay Out and Card Issuance allows banks, payment providers, travel companies and other businesses to collect and disburse funds in 100 local currencies to over 190 countries (100+ in real time), plus issue physical and virtual cards globally.Where do you come into the picture?We are looking for an experienced Director LATAM Banking amp; Partnerships, based out of Latin America, who can accelerate our regional expansion into Latin America. The role is part of NIUM’s Banking amp; Partnerships Team and is responsible for developing and owning the local payment infrastructure in Latin America based on our business needs. As a Director LATAM Banking amp; Partnerships, you will focus on creating and building partnerships for NIUM with banks and PSPs that give NIUM access to local payment rails for both pay outs and collections, improve our capabilities and reduce our costs. This role reports into the Global Head of Banking amp; Partnerships.A high impact role, this requires expertise in strategic thinking, leadership, strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills (internal and external). The role owner is expected to gain an exceptional understanding of NIUM’s line of business, its product offering across multiple verticals and evolving business models amp; trends. The Ideal candidate would have a deep understanding of the payment landscape in Latin America: available payment systems per country, the differences between them, an understanding of the relevant payment regulations per country. Demonstrable experience in and/or knowledge of at least a few of our focus countries: Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil, and relations with potential partners would set the candidate apart from other incumbents also applying for the role. Additionally, the role holder should have hands-on experience with opening client money bank accounts, understands the fundamental concerns of banks when onboarding MSBs, understands the importance of compliance in general, and is familiar with the process and challenges of account opening.This is not your typical partnership’s role. You will have full responsibility for overseeing our local partnerships in LatAm. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited about creating a real impact by building the LatAm network from ground up, this is a dream role.What would a day in your life @NIUM look like?As a Director LATAM Banking amp; Partnerships @NIUM, among others, a typical roster of responsibilities would include:Devise NIUM’s LatAm partnership framework and lead, develop, own, and implement a partnership strategy across all LatAm countries that aligns with, and supports, NIUM’s overall business vision with a focus on Pay Out / Pay In / Alternate Payments / Travel / Crypto product suiteIdentify the most appropriate way to launch NIUM suite of products in a new market. In some cases, you will work directly with the product team to do so; other times you will work with the respective regional coverage teams.Typically, in this role, you will work with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, BD, and Engineering teams to locate, develop and manage payments partnerships to ensure a successful roll out of payment solutions across LatAm.Keep abreast with market changes, acquire deep understanding of customer needs and bank / PSP partner’s requirements, and continuously propose and execute innovative solutions which differentiate NIUM offeringsAct as the Payment consultant, ideally with a deep understanding across multiple payment methods and solution.You will own management of these partnerships, and advocate on behalf of NIUM to engage business and industry leaders to drive improvement in the payment supply chain to ensure NIUM’s products have the best customer payments experiences and set new global standards in scalability and efficiency
