This opportunity is for a 12 month CDD contract with option to extend or conversion to CDI.The purpose of this role is to provide day-to- day assistance to ASSALA Gabon Import amp; Export activities including Custom cleearance activities. This includes the following :-Ensuring correct documentation is provided and submitted ;-Day- to-Day communication and follow up with Freight Forwarder on ongoing files ;-Preparation of documentation for RIG import and export activities ;-Preparation of documentation for Isotanks exports ;- Management of Day to Day import and export of equipment, chemicals and oils ;- Ensuring adequate auditable documentation trail is maintained for all clearance files.The role also ensures a competent amp; adequate back-up when required.Key activities:Ensure Day to Day communication with Freight Forwarders, with timely follow up of imports activitiesProvide guidance and advice to any other department involved in activities with potential customs implications.Maintain discipline and consistency in documents submitted to customs.Ensure that all transit amp; customs related documents are consistent with regard to Gabonese customs regulations and Convention/ CEPP between State of Gabon and Assala Gabon. Proceed to customs documentation research up Customs Administration requests.Prepare documentation in a timely manner for Oil Lifting clearance.Prepare documentation for Isotanks re-exportation. Prepare documentation for import clearance and export clearance of ASSALA equipment.Ensure that work is carried out in line with the company operational procedures, Gabonese customs regulations and in a time effective manner.Analysis of Freight Forwarder information consistency/accuracy in reportsMonthly reports submitted to FCP3Detective controls: Review Freight Forwarder / clearing agent import amp; export dossiers.Main challengesMinimise exposure to customs penaltiesEnsure Good relationship with freight forwarders and internal clients.Ensure proper administration, maintenance and archiving of all customs related documents given the legal obligations and liabilities on goods imported and exported by Assala Gabon.Monthly reports delivered on time.RequirementsA minimum of 2 years of higher education in Logistics and Transport, International Trade, Administration, Customs/Transit and other related fields. Operational experience: a minimum of 3 years experience in transit and customs administration is required. Good knowledge of specific customs clearance procedures in the oil and gas industry, as well as international transport and local and regional customs regulations (CEMAC). Analytical approach and attention to detail. Good communication skills in English and French. Proficiency in Microsoft office package.
