Analysis, design, implementation and documentation of clinical and financialinterfaces utilizing HL7 standards.Works hands-on with interface engine, sets up connectivity, validates data,documents operational procedures and monitoring protocols. Works with TCLprogramming.Works with TCP/IP transactions and protocols, works with vendors to setupconnectivity, ensures encryption and security of protected patient data as wellas other confidential information.Provides on call coverage for interfaces and integration on a rotating basis withother team members.Provides assistance related to software applications supported by theInformation Technologies Departments. Assists Business and Clinical analysts asneeded.Engages in business/functional design discussions with multi-disciplinary teams.Meets with decision makers, system owners and end-users to definerequirements and systems goals.Develops sample test data and analyzes test results thoroughly to assureaccuracy of final results. Works to ensure that testing is conducted withinspecified time frame in order to meet project deadlinesParticipates in the development of detailed quality assurance plans to ensuresystems function correctly. Creation of test scripts and scenarios to ensureaccuracy or data and appropriateness of transmissions as well as integrationbetween systems.Develops current and future state data flows as related to interfaces. Developsdetailed design documents. Assists with documentation of interfaces, requisiteprograms and user instructions when required.Develops interface reconciliation methodologies, performs audits, monitors dataexchanges and optimizes interface performance.All other duties as assigned by the Director, Clinical and Business Systems orVP/Chief Information Officer.Requirements1 year previous experience as an HL7 Interface Analyst required.Experience with Cloverleaf or other interface engine required.Advanced programming skills, such as TCL, Python, and bash scripting. analytical and troubleshootingskills preferred.Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science preferred.Knowledge of healthcare applications, processes, and procedures preferred.Strong oral and written communication skills.Job Specification
