Working as part of a skilled Engineering team, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You’ll be involved in a variety of engineering tasks, ensuring a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure. Working on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. Working 42 hours per week from Monday to Friday and 6 hours every 3rd Saturday morning, you'll be on a 3-shift rotation covering days and nights (6 am-2 pm, 2 pm-10 pm amp; 10 pm-7 am, with an early finish on a Friday as we know the importance of work-life balance).What are the required skills?Good working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical engineeringApprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in an Engineering disciplineExperience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics will be an advantageExperience in fabrication and welding would be beneficialTeam player with attention to detailGood understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirementsExperience in mechanical fault finding, defect rectification and routine maintenance activitiesAbility to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendationsExcellent level of English, oral and written
