Our web-app, Formative (, is used by 50K+ teachers and 1M+ students every week, helping teachers see student responses in real-time for immediate feedback and tracking growth to learning standards.Formative has an opening for an enthusiastic sales professional to generate and close new business opportunities and deepen relationships with current and prospective decision-makers in the Mideast Territory (includes Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Delaware, and West Virginia). This is a fully remote position and involves some travel to conferences, schools, districts, and company events. *Formative is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states. We can only consider applicants residing in the US and in the following states where Formative is registered: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA.ResponsibilitiesAchieve Account Executive revenue goals from new business and existing clientsProspect, qualify, and conduct sales opportunities from initial contact to closeBuild a robust pipeline of engaged, qualified prospects that understand our value by understanding their pain pointsUpdate and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in Customer Relationship Management (CRM)Conduct presentations and demos to showcase our products and servicesPerform outbound email, social and telephone prospecting campaignsDevelop a sales plan for targeting and penetrating new business within the designated territory and build daily measurable activities that support goal achievementCollaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and drive expansion opportunitiesThis is an entirely remote position that requires you to be an expert at virtual meeting tools and CRM tools to build a sustainable pipeline
