Felsburg Holt amp; Ullevig is seeking an entrepreneurial, self-starting, and energetic water resources engineer to join our team. This mid-level civil engineer will have 4-10 years of relevant experience. We’re a mid-size firm with offices in Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa. We have positions open in our Greenwood Village and Colorado Springs, CO Offices to join the Mountain West Water Resources Group. In this job, the Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex water resources projects ranging from hydrology and hydraulics support for transportation projects to standalone projects, such as stream restoration, floodplain analysis, and major outfall systems. Immediate responsibilities will be to act as task lead on major transportation projects. The selected applicant will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the drainage design, stormwater management plans for control measures during construction and post construction permanent water quality facilities. This will require coordination with other design disciplines, coordination with the client, and critical decision making to meet overall project goals.Our Mountain West Water Resources Group is rapidly expanding and has the opportunity to support and spearhead a wide variety of water resources projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for various sized transportation projects, including major structure sizing and floodplain analysis.Stormwater management plans, including the design of control measures for stormwater during construction, post construction permanent stormwater quality facilities design, green infrastructure design, and compliance and permitting documentation.Assist with design of various channel improvements from bank stabilization for erosion protection to full stream analysis and restoration.
