A video of a schoolteacher beating up minor students in Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) has gone viral on the internet.

The 96 second-video, which was recorded through a mobile phone camera, shows a person beating and running after the minors with a stick in his hand.

The teacher did not stop beating the children even when they started crying and running for help. According to Express News, police have started investigating the matter.

A bill was passed in the National Assembly in 2013 for protecting the dignity of children.

Any person involved in inflicting harsh punishment on children will have to serve up to one year imprisonment and pay Rs50,000 as a fine, the bill states.
