Police said on Wednesday that they had recovered a six-year-old who had gone missing earlier in the day. Civil Lines SHO Rana Muhammad Iqbal said a six-year-old boy, a resident of Bhatta Colony, had been playing in front of his house when he disappeared. The family informed the police. Iqbal said that they formed teams to look for the boy and found him within six hours. The child told the police that some men had picked him up from in front of his house and taken him away in a car. They had left him on a roadside after some time.
Separately, Gadai police arrested a woman on Wednesday for kidnapping a 12-year-old. A police spokesperson said the 12-year-old had gone to take tuition classes from the woman on Wednesday morning. She had not returned. Her father Muhammad Asghar had informed the police. Gadai SHO Chaudhry Ali Muhammad led the search team. They found the woman and the girl at the Daewoo bus terminal. Police presented the woman and the girl in front of the area magistrate. He handed the child over to her family and sent the woman on judicial remand.
