Nabbed: Two street crime gangs busted
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have busted two gangs involved in muggings, bag-snatching and other street crimes. The police also recovered two unlicensed 30-bore pistols with ammunition, three stolen motorcycles, and Rs45,000 in cash from the six suspects nabbed by the Special Investigation Unit. The suspects were identified as Ikramullah, Gul Faraz, Mudassar Ali, Ayaz Khan, Habibullah, and Oman Ali. Police said the suspects had confessed to multiple incidents of mugging. Ikramullah and Faraz snatched purse of a woman in November last year and were booked by the Industrial Area police. A motorcycle, a pistol and Rs25,000 in cash were recovered from these two suspects.
