ISLAMABAD: Jahangir Tareen as Federal Minister in Pervez Musharaf’s regime had got Rs 101 million from Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) loan written off in 2005.

Jahangir Tareen took loan from ZTBL in the name of Tandiawala sugar mill, according to various private news channels reported on Saturday.  He was part of board of directors of that sugar mill.

Commenting on the situation, PML-N MNA Talal Chaudhry said that it seems reference filed by his party with the speaker against Imran Khan had perturbed PTI. “Those who have been levelling false allegations against the prime minister will now have to face the consequences of their own corruption,” he added.

He said filing the reference was PML-N’s legal and constitutional right. “Now law and constitution will take their course and the justice will be done,” he added.
