DERA GHAZI KHAN: Border Military Police (BMP) seized a sizeable quantity of hashish being smuggled to Balochistan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night. They arrested two people in connection with the smuggling bid.

BMP Commandant Babar Bashir gave a press briefing in this regard at Rakhi Gaaj on Wednesday.

He said they had stopped an oil tanker at a picket on Tuesday night. They found 50 sacks carrying 880kg hashish in secret compartments in the oil tanker.

Muhammad Nawaz, the truck driver, and his helper Muhammad Qasim were arrested. Bashir said the police were interrogating them.
