LAHORE: As many as 50 more overseas Pakistanis have received possession of houses they had bought in various housing schemes with the efforts of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, said a statement issued on Monday.
It said the housing schemes had received full payment for the houses but were not handing over possession to the buyers.
Possession documents for houses located in Eden Abad and Eden Gardens were handed over to the buyers by OPC Punjab Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti, it added.
Addressing the ceremony, Bhatti said the complainants had booked these houses some 10 years ago and cleared the payment but were made to wait for transfer of possession for so long. He said the commission was addressing complaints regarding delay in transfer of possession of houses on a priority.
