A statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday confirmed the launch of an operation along the Pak-Afghan border.
“An operation has been launched along the Pak-Afghan border to reinforce troop deployment in Rajgal valley to effectively check and guard against terrorists movement along high mountains and all weather passes in Khyber Agency,” the statement on their Facebook Page said, followed by a tweet.
The statement comes after Army chief General Raheel Sharif said that all efforts would be committed to ensuring peace and stability along the Pak-Afghan border.
Further, he said stability along the Pak-Afghan border remained the army’s priority and all efforts would be committed for it.
Earlier, Pakistan Army and Afghan forces halted firing across the border, reaching a ceasefire at the Torkham border.
