The Karachi traffic police towed away on Thursday a vehicle of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Ismail from outside the metropolitan’s passport office.
According to Express News, a number of vehicles were lifted, and taken to nearby traffic police office as Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah was to visit the area.
Ismail expressed anger over the high-handedness of police officials who reportedly picked up the car because of an impending ‘VIP movement in the area’.
Talking to reporters, Ismail said he had parked his car in the designated area and it was against the law to lift his car.
“I came here to get my passport. After a while get to know that a ‘king; is coming here and police have picked up my car. Do they have any idea how much this irritates general public?” he said.
