ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Tuesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s boycott of the joint session of parliament is a sign of his “mental bankruptcy”.
The minister, in a statement, said instead of presenting public sentiment through democratic institutions, Imran continues to hatch conspiracies against them.
“The joint session of parliament was called to express solidarity with the people of Occupied Kashmir and get opinion and suggestions of elected representatives to foil attempts of India to indulge in war hysteria.”
The minister said the attitude of Imran showed that he cannot understand the importance of national issues.
“At that time when representatives of the nation joined their heads to deliberate on serious issues, Imran was enjoying music and leisure in Nathiagali,” he said.
Rashid added that Imran Khan should keep his political animosity separate from the Kashmir cause.
