Candidates for vacancies

DARBELLO: The recent announcement by Murad Ali Shah to issue offer orders for 6,000 doctors who have just passed the written examination conducted by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) is undeniably a bold and commendable step. His other decision to give jobs to headmasters shows that the current authority is going in the right direction.

Given that there is a huge chunk of unemployed youth heaping curses on the government for not providing them with opportunities, this has raised hopes and aspirations for many jobless, young and impressionable minds. The recently announced results of the CCE 2013 through the SPSC, in which a total of 227 candidates were allocated out of 664 hardworking candidates, must not go unnoticed. Aspirants who burnt their midnight oil to get jobs in the provincial bureaucracy received a serious jolt when they failed to find their names in the list of allocated candidates. Despite qualifying for the written and interview segments, they remain unallocated.

The current policy decisions taken by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah are praiseworthy and the youth will be very much indebted to him if he announces the same for the unallocated 437 candidates of the CCE 2013. Many seats are vacant and this is the right time to place candidates who have not been allocated, just falling short of landing in the margin.
