Tax defaulters: 311 vehicles challaned in Sargodha
SARGODHA: The Excise and Taxation (E&T) department, during ongoing operation against tax defaulters, fitness certificates and illegal number plates have challaned 311 vehicles and removed 290 illegal number plates in Sargodha. E&T Director Mushtaq Afridi said the teams of E&T department conducted raids at various points of the division and also challaned 167 vehicles over shortage of token tax and other illegalities. The officials also removed 290 illegal number plates from vehicles. He added strict action would be taken against those violating rules and vehicles would also be confiscated till the payment of taxes and completion of legalities.
