Pakistan releases 147 Indian fishermen


Pakistan released 147 Indian fishermen from the Karachi Malir Jail as a goodwill gesture.

According to Express News, the 147 Indian fishermen were taken to Lahore through Allama Iqbal Express from where they will go to Wagah Border to enter India.

The fishermen were brought to the Cantt station under strict security.  Security arrangements were also made at the station where apart from the railway police and the special police officers, the volunteers of Edhi Foundation were also present.

On the other hand, the fishermen said that the authorities were kind to them and that it was a pleasure to go back their homeland.

The Edhi Foundation, on the occasion, distributed gifts among the fishermen.

The fishermen will travel to Lahore and then reach India via Wagah Border
