‘David Cameron thought Obama was 'narcissistic, self-absorbed'’, states Steve Hilton

A former Downing Street strategist made an unexpected claim that his boss, David Cameron thought Barack Obama was one of the “most narcissistic, self-absorbed’’ people he had ever come across, reports Express.

Steve Hilton stated,“Obama never listened to anyone, always thought he was smarter than every expert in the room and treated every meeting as an opportunity to lecture everyone else.”’

On Hilton’s show, Next Revolution airing on Fox News, he blamed Obama for major world issues and inefficient government.

Obama digs at Trump over climate change

“This led to real world disasters like Syria and the rise of ISIS, but the real world doesn’t matter to the elites – for them it’s all about style and tone, not substance and results.”

Referring to world leader’s like Obama, Hilton commented further: “They don’t see what is going on in the actual economy: the closed factories , the boarded up shops, the family members on opioids, the lowest employment of men since the Depression, the wages flat or falling for 40 years. And the 2016 American’s elected to the oval office someone [Trump] who did see all that. And whatever his mental state, he has achieved more for Americans in one year than his predecessors did in eight.’’

Steve Bannon’s disclosure seems to portray relationship between Obama and Cameron as difficult, contrary to what both leaders stated during their office terms.

Obama praised Cameron as ‘great friend’, ‘most trusted partner’ and an ‘outstanding partner’ during his visit to Washington.

“On many of the most pressing challenges that we face we see the world the same way.’’

“Great Britain is our indispensable partner, and David has been personally an outstanding partner – and I thank you for your friendship.”

In a later interview in 2016, however, Obama stated he was frustrated with Cameron for failing to get a Commons majority in 2013 and for supporting military action against the Syrian regime.

He also criticised Cameron getting “distracted by a range of other things” instead of giving issue of Libya enough attention.

As a reaction to Hilton’s recent statements, a spokesperson for Cameron has completely denied Cameron held such views on Obama.

“David Cameron’s views on President Obama – whether in public or in private – are the same: he considers Barack Obama a hugely accomplished president, a great partner for Britain and a good friend to our country and to him personally.”
