KARACHI: The end of 2017 saw the release of a number of Pakistani films that cinemagoers eagerly waited for. Movie theatres were flooded for Shaan’s Arth – The Destination, Rangreza and Chupan Chupai. Unfortunately, none of them managed to do well at the box office. One character that everyone was expecting a lot from was Gohar Rasheed’s Waseem Wallay in Rangreza.

Usually seen essaying unconventional roles, a source revealed that the versatile actor will be next seen playing Makha Nath in the upcoming Maula Jatt. Under Bilal Lashari’s direction, the remake of Sultan Rahi’s classic will feature Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malick. Gohar is the reportedly the latest addition to the cast of the much-awaited film.
The character Makha Nath was earlier played by Muzaffar Adeeb in the original Maula Jatt. Makha Nath is Noori Nath, the antagonist’s brother which was previously essayed by Mustafa Qureshi. In the remake, Gohar and Hamza reunite after the successful TV show Mann Mayal.
