PTDC wants easier visa process

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has approached the relevant government officials with a request to review the country’s visa policy for foreign tourists and to make it easier to acquire them. “We will focus on overseas Pakistanis and foreign tourists during 2018,” said PTDC Managing Director Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor. He added that a visa policy for foreign tourists needs to be reviewed to facilitate more tourists from across the world. “We have also requested the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to provide space at all international airports in the country to set-up Tourism Information Desks,” he said. In a written statement, the PTDC chief said that Pakistan had been declared the world’s top travel destination for 2018 by the British Backpacker Society among 20 top travel destinations.
