Pakistani Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri is all set to meet Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari later today [Tuesday] in Lahore ahead of Wednesday’s protests against ruling government of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz over the Model Town incident.
The two leaders spoke on telephone earlier where Zardari invited Qadri for dinner at the Bilawal House, which the latter accepted. He will be leading a delegation of PAT members to the meeting where a detailed discussion on the Model Town protests will be held.
It will be the third meeting between the two leaders after Model Town carnage report was made public. Last month, Zardari met PAT chief at PAT Secretariat to deliberate and finalise plan of the PAT-led all parties’ conference on Model Town carnage in the wake of the release of the Model Town inquiry report.
On December 7, PPP co-chairman met with Qadri in Lahore where he threw his weight behind Qadri’s demand seeking resignations of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanullah.
PTI spokesperson says the two leaders will address the rally separately
