QUETTA: The Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) foiled a terror activity planned for Hub on Tuesday.
According to security sources, the paramilitary forces, on a tip-off, raided the Tripori area of Hub city and seized a large cache of arms hidden in the mountains.
They added that 44 rounds of Argus, seven rounds of rocket propelled grenades (RPG), 25 rounds of 12.7K, seven OIG 40, a satellite phone and other material were recovered.
“Terrorists hid the arms to carry out terror activities in the province, but the security forces’ timely action foiled their bid,” the sources said.
Last month, at least nine members of the Christian community were killed and 57 others wounded when two suicide bombers struck a church in Quetta where worshippers were attending service ahead of Christmas, officials said.
