Development project brings promise of a smart life


KARACHI: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) City Karachi project will prove how the dream of a smart life can be fulfilled.

This was stated by the project director, Brigadier (retd) Muhammad Rafiq at a ceremony held on Tuesday in DHA City Karachi where representatives of Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) participated.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, after which the national anthem was sung. Children from the DHA Karachi City Junior School sang the national anthem and national song, which received applause from the participants.

Rafiq, welcomed the audience and termed DHA City Karachi as the best project of Pakistan. He said that the best quality of life can be lived in DHA City Karachi.

DHA City Karachi is much bigger than the DHA present in the city, he said.

The project director claimed DUHS and Shaukat Khanum Hospital will provide the best health facilities to residents. “IBA is creating its master plan and so is DHA Suffa University, which is why DHA City has taken unprecedented steps in improving the education and medical sector,” he said.

Sustainable: DHA City Karachi wins global award

The DHA City Karachi covers 1,1640 acres and has been divided into 16 sectors. In this new city, schools, colleges, universities, hospitals and supermarkets have been planned in ways so no one faces any difficulties.

Shields were presented to the participants from DUHS and Shaukat Khanum Hospital. In the ceremony, arrangements were also made to take the media on a tour of DHA City.
