LAHORE: The uni-dimensional approach of the PAT- and PTI- led protest drive — currently aimed at the toppling of the incumbent government — has drawn much flak. Lacking a consolidated approach to lead the drive forward the PAT chief has talked about the possibility of another meeting with the allies to decide on the future course of action. Given the inappropriate approach the two parties, PAT and PTI, have taken, the protests are unlikely to morph into a significant anti-government move. Further, with only months left to the next general elections, a rational approach would be to focus on a decisive victory against the PML-N and not to cause further turmoil in a democratic political setup.
