NADRA deputy chairman sacked over sexual harassment case

The National Database Regulatory Authority (Nadra) has sacked its one the top officials over harassment charges, Express News reported on Friday.

Syeda Shaheen Bokhari, a deputy assistant director at Nadra, had levelled serious allegations of victimisation and sexual harassment against Syed Muzaffar Ali Shah, deputy chairman of the authority.

The official currently serving as officer on special duty (OSD) was dismissed after he had failed to satisfy an inquiry committee investigating charges of sexual harassment against him.

A three member-committee comprising three senior Nadra officials had been conducting the inquiry.

Bokhari had alleged that she was running from pillar to post to get justice and was being victimised persistently.
