Courageous woman fights off robbers
RAWALPINDI: Robbers trying to snatch a woman’s purse in F-Block of New Town area were unsuccessful as the woman beat the culprits up, grabbed hold of one them and handed him over to the police.
The culprit is in police custody, and the investigation has begun. According to details, CCTV cameras installed in private buildings recorded a robbery attempt. The released video showed that two female schoolteachers were passing by in F-area when they were suddenly waylaid by robbers, one of whom tried to snatch a purse from one of the women.
The robber, in an attempt to snatch the bag, lifted the strap off the girl’s shoulder; as the strap became loose, the brave woman ran after the robbers and grabbed hold of one of them.
The video footage shows the woman beating both the robbers. However, one robber managed to escape the scene while the other was caught with the help of locals.
