Lahore police force man to remove clothes for 'checking'


LAHORE: Lahore Police on Saturday forced a man to remove his clothes on a road in broad daylight for “frisking” purpose.

A team of patrolling force, Police Response Unit (PRU) were seen in CCTV footage on media forcing the man to remove his apparel which led to DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf suspending all the officials of PRU 07

The incident occurred in Naulakha when police reportedly stopped a passerby.

They asked for a bribe. When the victim could not produce ‘nazrana’, they asked him stand still for checking.

Weeks prior to that incident two constables had beaten up a rickshaw driver.
