Zainab murder case: ATC to begin hearing today, CJ Lahore orders daily hearings
Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) Mansoor Ali Shah has ordered a daily hearing of eight-year-old Zainab’s rape and murder case, the first hearing will be held later today.
The case will be heard in an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), prime accused Imran, who was arrested and apprehended by the police yesterday, will appear before the court.

Addressing the media in Bhawalpur, Justice Shah said that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed the media and requested for a quick verdict in the case. “I am also addressing the media to let the chief minister know that there will be daily hearings on the case,” he said.
Justice Shah also said that he has directed district judges to ensure daily hearings and to reach a verdict as soon as possible.
The accused, Imran, faces charges of murdering eight girls in Kasur, and will appear in front of the ATC amidst tight security measures. ATC Judge Sheikh Sajjad will conduct the hearing today.

Initial reports reveal that police will submit a report related to the accused in the court. The hearing will then begin with charges of rape and murder of children.
