Two men arrested in Rawalpindi for rape of minor girls in separate incidents


At least two accused in separate cases of child rape have been apprehended by the authorities, Express News reported.

In an intelligence-based operation, police in Rawalpindi raided a house at Chakri Road and arrested one of the prime suspects, Chaudhry Arbab, involved in kidnapping and rape of a minor girl. A case had been registered against Arbab and Raja Adil on January 18. Locals had been staging protests over the authority’s failure to apprehend them.

Meanwhile in Muzaffargarh, a fugitive accused of rape of a seven-year-old was arrested in Jatoi Tehsil. District Police Officer (DPO) Muzaffargarh Owais Ahmed said Irfan [suspect] had escaped after committing the heinous crime.

The girl’s father had filed a first information report (FIR) after which a team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Ramzan Shahid apprehended the accused. DPO Ahmed added that the arrest was made after conducting scientific investigation.
