Deepika Padukone responds to engagement rumours


Bollywood couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been dating on and off for over four years now. Although the duo has never explicitly accepted that they are in a relationship, their PDA seems to tell otherwise. Rumours that the couple might be tying the knot this year are in full swing, reported Pinkvilla.

Ranveer and Deepika rang in the New Year in Maldives, accompanied by their families. Apparently, Ranveer popped the question and the duo is officially engaged.

Deepika recently made an appearance on Neha Dhupia’s show, BFFs with Vogue, with her sister Anisha Padukone. When questioned on the engagement rumours, Deepika replied, “I was not engaged.”

Neha then asked to see her ring finger which had a tan line, implying that Deepika did sport a ring while vacationing. On this, Anisha remarked, “She has been engaged successively for the last four years.”

This is not the first time Deepika has denied engagement rumours. Last year, the Padmaavat actor said, “There’s no such plan anytime soon. I’m not pregnant, I’m not having a baby, I’m not engaged and I’m not married. And I’m not even planning to get married anytime soon.”

However, reports suggest that the couple has invested in a property in Goa in a posh neighbourhood. Seems like there will be wedding bells soon.
