PESHAWAR: Brig (retd) Farooq Nasir Awan, the director general of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa National Accountability Bureau on Friday directly heard complaints of the public regarding elimination and prevention of corruption from society and issued on-the-spot orders to rectify problems. Around 50 people appeared before Brig Awan at his office and presented their complaints, said a spokesperson for the bureau. Most of the complaints were related to the district government, the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), the political administration in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, investments, Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) and the C&W department. All the members of scrutiny committee were present on the occasion. Brig Awan assured that transparent investigations will be conducted in all the complaints and action will be taken against the accused as per the law.
