KARACHI: It’s ironic the way the PPP has blamed Sindh’s caretaker government for its failure to pre-empt the violence that erupted during party chairman Bilawal’s visit to Lyari. The party has blamed the caretaker government for not protecting PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The PPP considers Lyari its stronghold. In view of the fact that the PPP itself upholds the democratic right to protest, people of Lyari only made use of this right to protest. So what is wrong with this? The protest was only reflective of the the bad governance by the PPP and its failure to improve the lives of the common people of Lyari.
