JUI-F says corrupt politicians trying to hijack CPEC


QUETTA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) central spokesperson Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has said after plundering all natural resources of Balochistan, now the corrupt politicians are trying to hijack its coastal line, adjoining Gwadar and a giant developmental project China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He expressed these while addressing a public meeting at Nashans Colony, Killi Qambrani in his constituency on Monday.

Maulana Pir Azizur Rehman Hazarvi, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Mir Ishaq Zakir Shahwani, Maulana Hakim Mohammad Isa, Hafiz Munir Ahmed Advocate, Sardar Asad Shahwani, Seth Ajmal Bazai, Haji Wazir Muhammad Bareach, Mir Shabir Kurd and Hafiz Zubair Ahmed were also present.

JUI-F slams new delimitations

Ahmed, who is also a candidate for the NA-266 seat, said, “For 70 years the natural resources of Balochistan, including gold, silver and copper in Saindak and Reko Diq, natural gas reserves of Sui, marble in Chaghi and precious stones in Khuzdar and surrounding areas, have been under the control of powers, who have denied to give people of Balochistan their legitimate rights. Now after eating money from all these natural resources of the province, they want to capture our coastal line – Gwadar – and hijack CPEC, depriving local people of their share.”
