It’s Sindh’s turn now

LAHORE: The highest court’s order to place the name of PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur on the exit control list is possibly the beginning of accountability of one of the powerful ruling clans of Sindh province. As Punjab shook with the opening of the corruption cases and scams against the PML-N and its ministers, fake bank accounts by the business entities of the former president and his aides predict at Sindh being next in the line for across the board accountability.

The cases and investigations have emerged at an important time when not just only the elections are hardly 15 days away but also when the judiciary is being accused of targeting a single party and serving selective justice. With the case in point, opening up of a trail of corruption cases involving embezzlement of millions of the taxpayers’ 0money would be less than surprising.
