Over 13,000 penalised for parking violations

ISLAMABAD: Disciplinary actions have been taken against 13,346 parking violations, and 7,385 commuters have been intercepted with tinted glasses. Meanwhile 683 vehicles have also been impounded in various police stations against gross traffic violations.

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has been directed to take stricter action against traffic rule violators. “Traffic discipline violations, including disturbing free flow of traffic, tinted glass on vehicles and parking violations will not be tolerated. Action will be taken against violators to ensure smooth flow of traffic and maintain the supremacy of traffic rules,” said SSP Traffic Farrukh Rasheed.

Special directives have been given to all deputy superintendents of the Capital Territory Police performing their duties in various sectors of Islamabad, he added.
