PHC seals 37 clinics of quacks
LAHORE: The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) sealed 37 clinics of quacks in different cities during the last two days. The teams, along with officials and police, carried out raids in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, and Okara. The teams visited 213 clinics of quacks and sealed their clinics. Twenty-four clinics were sealed in Gujranwala, 18 in Sahiwal, 14 in Okara and seven in Lahore. Last week, PHC closed down 5,457 treatment centres across the province, in its current drive against quacks. Reportedly, PHC teams visited over 11,600 treatment centres and sealed 4,115 quack clinics in different cities. The district administration also inspected 2,785 premises and sealed 1,342 businesses belonging to quacks.
