PAF aircraft declared runner-up at Royal International Air Tattoo Show


A C-130 aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was declared runner-up at the Royal International Air Tattoo Show 2018 exhibiting in Britain’s capital on Sunday.

The artistically painted number six squadron Hercules has been honoured out of 300 other aircraft at the exhibit, vying for the coveted Concours D’Elegance trophy.

PAF aircraft arrives in UK ahead of international air tattoo show

In 2016, the PAF C-130 won the prestigious trophy after it was adjudged the best aircraft for highlighting Pakistan’s role and its sacrifices in the war against terror.

At UK Royal Tattoo Show 2018 and competition regarding culture and Different Exercises were held where all Air Forces of world participated with their Aircrafts, PAF C130 also participated in competition.

The “International Centenary Celebrations of the Royal Air Force” themed ceremony was attended by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Muhajid Anwar Khan.

Ageing fighter jets still flying high in Pakistan

Congratulating PAF contingent for their performance, the air chief expressed hope that the exercise would project a soft image of the country across the world.

Earlier, PAF Chief Khan attended the Chief of Air Staff’s Air Power Conference themed “Building the Next Generation Air Force” in London.

The event was attended by over 60 international air chiefs from across the world and senior government ministers and high-ranking officials.

The Royal International Air Tattoo show features modern and classic aircraft from air forces have various countries participated in the annual event.
