LAHORE: Defaming, demeaning and derogatory remarks against fellow politicians are as old a characteristic of Pakistani politics as the country itself. The political history of the country has numerous such instances where seasoned politicians have stooped to the lowest level in a bid to defame another politician. Hence, it has been too hard for the leaders here to keep politics and ethics aligned. It is partially due to the fact that the educated yet well-mannered stay away from local politics despite having the necessary qualification and acumen.
