Decency must be maintained

HYDERABAD: The events of the past few days have caused a significant change in public opinion as regards some of the biggest political parties of the country. Particularly, Imran Khan’s use of indecent language against other politicians. This has caused resentment among the people against IK and might turn his supporters against him who now might vote for his main rival, the PML-N. A change in Khan’s conduct is less likely considering his past record.

Regardless of the adversarial relationship between political parties they ought not to cross the bounds of decency. They should bear in mind that examples are always set from above, and followers of political parties tend to imitate the ways of their leaders. So politicians should set good examples to their followers. This is of utmost importance.
