PTI MPA booked for attacking policemen


LAHORE: Nadeem Bara, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member who clinched a Punjab Assembly seat in the recently-concluded general elections, has been booked for attacking policemen.

Officials said Bara and other PTI activists were indulging in celebratory gunfire in Hanjarwal area when a police party arrived at the spot. Police said the suspects had attacked officials after the PTI MPA was nabbed and taken to a police station.

‘Imran Khan to be sworn in before August 14’

Operations DIG Shahzad Akbar told The Express Tribune that action will be taken against the suspects in accordance with law. “We cannot allow criminals to sit in Parliament,” he said.

An FIR of the incident has been registered.
