Sector G-6: Anti-encroachment operation starts
ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA), under the ongoing sector-wise anti-encroachment drive have launched a coordinated operation in Sector G-6/3 and G-6/4 localities against illegal occupants of the state land.
“Sector G-6 is being focused on at the moment and several illegally established structures in the area are being dismantled and demolished,” a press release said.
During the operation, three barriers, five fences, one barbed wire and two illegally installed iron grills causing hindrance to the pedestrian movement were removed from the sectors G-6/3 and G-6/4. The operation, being carried out by the CDA Enforcement Directorate in collaboration with the Building Control Section Directorate, will continue without any discrimination against the encroachers.
According to the civic body, the anti-encroachment drive will continue unabated against illegal occupants of the CDA land or space in-front of commercial, industrial, institutional, government buildings, residential areas and government residences in different sectors of the capital.

The anti-encroachment operation has been launched after the CDA received a number of complaints about illegal occupation of public places or state land. Sharing the procedure to retrieve the occupied land, CDA initially issues public notices warning the encroachers to remove all sort of encroachments from the state land voluntarily.
