PM Imran sets up body to resolve Karachiites issues


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday constituted a high-level committee to formulate short-, medium- and long-term plans to resolve the issues being faced by the residents of Karachi.

“The people of Karachi are suffering due to the mismanagement and neglect of the past governments,” said the prime minister while chairing a meeting to review the cleanliness drive and other development projects in Karachi.

The meeting was attended by federal ministers Barrister Faroogh Naseem, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Special Assistant Dr Zafar Mirza, MNA Aftab Hussain Siddiqui, members of the Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi and Haleem Adil Siddiqui, FWO Director General Major General Inam Haider Malik and other senior officials.
